誕生日おめでとう〜〜〜〜〜
Ok I’m thinking I will do a short fan report because not many people probably DO for Yuya-kun.
Here goes:
So today was Easter Sunday so I went to church with my Korean friends, and the church is really close to where the location was. We walked about 10 minutes and found this hole in the wall that reminds of places I used to go for concerts in Nashville (where I’m from).
Anyway, we saw the sign and walked up the stairs to the third floor but weren’t allowed in or anything, so we stood there and not a lot of people were in line so I was kind of worried. Then a guy came and told us to go wait outside because they were starting a sound check.
We retraced our steps downstairs and there was a good group of girls already waiting outside. Then another staff guy yelled at us to go somewhere (because we were blocking other stores) until 5:30pm when they were going to let us in. Um so we walked about 2 feet and stood with the group of girls in a little clump and eyed the entrance. After a few minutes, my friend left and I got in line and they started calling numbers. I guess the order was who bought tickets the soonest, and I can’t remember if I bought mine the day of or later than that XD But my number was 263 so I had to wait FOREVER and watch all these girls go in before me. And I’m short so I got worried.
So FINALLY I was let in and went upstairs and the place is pretty small and I was in the back half. I had two really tall girls in front of me blocking my entire view of the middle, but during the performance if Yuya ever came to the left hand side I saw him perfectly, if he stood up on the platform, he was taller than them, and if I craned my neck SOMETIMES I got glimpses of him on the right side and in the center. Ugh. It was tough.
Also I hurt my foot the other day so standing for 3 hours was rough. My neck hurt, my backpack was heavy, and my legs were killing me. But when Yuya came out most of it didn’t really phase me.
The show started about 5 minutes after it was supposed to, but they played Alicea Keys songs until the show started and that made me happy <3
When the band came out, there was an intro and the lights when down and then he came out and sang Super Drive. His hair is now BLONDE.
IT. LOOKS. AMAZING.
So his lips are super red, and his hair is kind of shaved on the bottom so the top half sticks up and his bangs cover his forehead. His hair look so good I can’t stress that enough. Wow. Just wow.
He wore a black shirt and a vest over it, and he danced for upbeat songs, and sometimes wore a sexy Michael Jackson style hat to go with his hip thrusting that I could barely see T.T
He sang a few more songs and then talked to us for a while. I was really lucky because I’m from Kyoto and it was his first ever concert here even though he’s from Hyogo which is in the Kansai region, not far from here. So I understood his dialect because it’s what I use now too ^.^
He taught us two dances to some of his songs to do while he was singing, like arm motions and stuff, and he smiled a ton when we did it with him. During the MC he talked about how yesterday the band went to a tiny place for dinner and did Russian Roulette with sushi and one of the members got the wasabi one and had to go to his room for the rest of the night to recover XD
Then he sang a really pretty version of Last Snow which is my favorite song of his. He had a spot on him and sang half of it with his eyes closed and no instruments. Whenever he sang a song I REALLY knew the lyrics too, I would always mouth them or sing along when he told us to, and it might just be my imagination but I felt like he was looking at me a lot because I’m not Japanese and I could sing his lyrics XD He could see our faces really well though.
He asked us to raise our hand if it was our first time to his concert, and actually there were a lot of people who had gone before, so I was one of the only people, and he saw me when my hand went up ^______^
He then sang a ballad in English, and apparently it’s a song he sings half in Japanese but they changed a lot of the songs for the tour to kind of spice things up. If I looked it up I could find the song name but I’m really tired right now x.x Anyway, the song was pretty but in the bridge I wanted to cry it was so sad. Oh man he’s a good singer.
He did some more fun songs like Secret Love and BRIGHT, the girl group who sings in that song, actually came out and danced for it!!! I love that soonnnggg <3
Then he went backstage and we waited for his encore which came about 5 minutes later. He changed into his black concert t-shirt which is so cute that I bought one :) He sang a few songs but the main part of the encore was that HE TALKED TO US FOR 30 MINUTES.
He asked us where he should go in Kyoto and what is different in Kyoto like the dialects and the stores (the colors of stores in Kyoto are changed to keep it from affecting the natural beauty. For example McDonald’s is brown instead of red.) and all sorts of stuff. He said he was really happy he got to come here and promised to come back.
He’s going to be doing a musical in Tokyo in May called Dream High which is, YES, based off the Korean drama!! Gah, this man is wonderful. I wish I could go… pretty sure I can’t :p
He also talked about his drama and his tour and sang another song before he left. I thought he would come out and shake everyone’s hand as the left like he did on his last tour, but he didn’t. Some girls waited outside but I wasn’t going to wait around for another hour just in case he did, because I had to catch my bus home.
I came home and my feet were KILLING me but I had a great time. I wanted to see him shirtless but I bought the pamphlet and in it he has about 5 pictures without a shirt on and it made me happy :) FAN SERVICE ahaha
I hope I can see him live again. He’s so sweet and I love his voice and his dancing and his personality. He’s such a down to earth guy, and he speaks in Kansai-ben which I loooovvvve <3
I’m going to go pass out now XD
